EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

We are looking for a talented executive assistant to support our leadership and operations teams as we continue to expand.

We are a multi-disciplinary team that bring skills in many areas from across the world. We are funded by some of the biggest biotech angels in Europe including Peder Holk Nielsen (Former CEO of Novozymes), Jonathan Milner (Founder of Abcam), Claudio Costamagna (Former CEO of Goldman Sachs Europe) and Hugh Grant (last CEO of Monsanto).

In this role you will work directly with our CEO and Head of Operations to ensure a smooth running of the company. Through your responsibilities you will be exposed to a wide range of stakeholders including major European biotech investors, universities, government bodies and other institutions.

 

You should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in any subject (scientific background ideal but not required)

  • 2+ years experience in an industry

  • Solid numerical skills and confidence in monitoring and reporting financial values

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to produce documents to a high standard

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to track and prioritise multiple tasks

  • Ability to adapt to shifting company priorities and resource requirements

  • Ability to manage upwards and develop professional relationships with experienced stakeholders

  • Good working knowledge using email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer-based tools


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to the CEO and Head of Operations by overseeing key company processes and administrative tasks

  • Owning company processes for invoice management and accounting

  • Coordinating internal events and meetings including team socials and weekly company calls

  • Taking and distributing minutes as required

  • Managing the smooth running of the office

  • Managing external communications and schedules where requested

  • Developing and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship across Bactobio

  • Negotiating and executing commercial agreements with suppliers and strategic partners

  • Completing company submissions to government departments, funding bodies and contractors

  • Contributing to promotional material and news releases
