Alicia is currently completing her PhD at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), investigating the role of the skin microbiome in human attractiveness to mosquitoes. Prior to her PhD, she obtained an MSc in Epidemiology from LSHTM (2018-19) and a first-class BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from the University of Liverpool (2015-2018).

During her internship, Alicia will be profiling antimicrobial resistance in bacteria. She will also be working in the bacterial generation team to help select optimal conditions to increase the number and diversity of bacteria.

Outside work, Alicia enjoys exploring the pubs and food markets of South London, going to the gym and listening to music.
