Ezra completed a BSc in Molecular Genetics at the University of Edinburgh before branching out with a Statistics MSc at the University of Glasgow. He is currently completing a PhD in microbiology at the University of York, studying the interactions between bacteria and bacteriophages through lab experimentation, network analysis and bioinformatics.

At Bactobio, Ezra is helping to develop a bioinformatics-driven isolate screening prioritisation system for the Compound Discovery team. He will contribute to the broader codebase and help polish pre-existing bioinformatics pipelines.

In his free time, Ezra enjoys cooking, exercising, board gaming and making the most of London’s electronic music scene.
