Advait Aithal

Intern

Advait is currently pursuing a PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry at the University of East Anglia, building on a strong foundation in microbiology from his Master’s studies at St. Joseph's University in Bangalore.


Before joining Bactobio, Advait worked as Head of Technology and Operations at Equine Biotech, where he managed the diagnostic laboratory, coordinated between executive and scientific teams, and led R&D initiatives.


At Bactobio, Advait is an Intern on the Screening team. He conducts bioassays to identify bioactive compounds produced by bacteria, testing a variety of media, stress conditions, and elicitors to uncover novel activity.


Outside of work, Advait enjoys music, reading, cooking, cricket, and basketball.
