Her PhD focuses on biofumigation, an environmentally sustainable alternative to agrochemicals, and its effects on pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacterial communities.

At Bactobio, Carrie is working to optimise the microbial generation platform to increase the number and diversity of novel microbes and screening for high-value chemical producers.

Outside of the lab, Carrie enjoys long-distance running, kayaking and listening to music.
