Lygon graduated with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2018. His professional journey encompasses significant experience as a software developer. At Vinehealth, a healthtech startup, he played a pivotal role in engineering both backend and frontend services, crafting an application that enabled cancer patients to efficiently track symptoms, medications, and appointments.

 At Bactobio, Lygon works within the software team, where he focuses on developing robust software that streamlines the scientific process from data management to the automation of experiments. He also collaborates with the bioinformatician team to refine computational pipelines for scalability and reproducibility by introducing more efficient coding practices.

Outside work, Lygon enjoys climbing, reading a good book and cooking. His adventurous nature has even led him to a short stint on a Hawaiian chocolate farm.
