
Martina Ragno
Microbiology Technician
Martina holds a MRes in Microbiology and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences, both from the University of Kent. During her studies, she focused on microbial genetics and advanced molecular biology techniques.
Prior to joining Bactobio, Martina worked as a Laboratory Research Scientist at the Francis Crick Institute, where she contributed to the Cell Science Quality Control pipeline, specialising in species identification and Mycoplasma contamination screening.
At Bactobio, Martina works within the microbial generation team, supporting the microbial isolation pipeline to help discover previously unculturable microbes.
Outside of work, Martina enjoys painting, travelling, hiking, photography, and attending exhibitions.
