Anne Grijzenhout holds a PhD in Chromosome and Developmental Biology from the University of Oxford, funded by the Wellcome Trust. She also earned an MSci in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, graduating with first-class honours.
Anne brings extensive experience in strategic project management and partnership development. She was a Principal Consultant at Medtronic, a leading MedTech consultancy, where she spearheaded high-impact strategic initiatives and cultivated long-term partnerships, driving significant organisational growth and innovation. Prior to that, she was a Senior Consultant at Oliver Wyman, where she led critical strategic projects across the retail, healthcare, and financial services sectors.
At Bactobio, Anne plays a key role in driving strategic initiatives that enhance corporate governance and optimise the grants pipeline. By fostering strong connections between the Business Development and R&D teams, she ensures the alignment between scientific innovation and business goals. Anne also contributes to refining the company’s business model and supports high-impact fundraising campaigns by identifying new opportunities and strengthening investor relationships.
Outside of work, Anne enjoys cycling around London and reading.
