Frederick holds a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Ghana (2005), an MSc in Bioscience from the University of Leeds (2009) and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Granada (2016). Frederick was a natural product chemist at Fundación MEDINA, a world-leading natural products institute spinning previously associated with Merck.  Frederik’s expertise spans assay design, high-throughput screening, data management, LC/MS analysis, and the isolation and detailed chemical and biological characterisation of novel compounds. Frederick has played a pivotal role in managing, coordinating, and leading various collaborative projects, significantly contributing to the discovery of new antiparasitic compounds, as highlighted in his publications.

At Bactobio, Frederick is an integral part of the Analytical Chemistry team, focusing on the isolation and characterisation of novel compounds.

Outside of work, Frederick values and prioritises spending quality time with his family and friends, deeply valuing these personal connections.
